The energy consumption of 5G base stations is higher than that of 4G, and the corresponding energy storage market is larger. At the end of 2019, the total number of 4G base stations in my country reached 5.44 million, and the number of 5G base stations in the future may exceed 12 million, corresponding to the energy storage demand space of 177GWh.

　　The next 3~5 years will be the peak of base station construction, with an average annual demand exceeding 10GWh. At the end of 2019, the number of 5G base stations in my country was 130,000. In 2020, China Telecom and China Unicom will jointly build 250,000 5G base stations, and China Mobile plans to build 300,000 5G base stations. The total number of 5G base stations is a definite plan. Assume that the number of newly added 5G base stations in 2020/2021/2022 is 70/110/1.2 million, corresponding to 10.36/16.28/17.76GWh energy storage demand.
